Chain sizes by brand
Each brand uses its own chain codes, and the same physical chain is often sold under several. Start with your saw's brand, then pick the model and the bar actually fitted to it.
Stihl
Stihl chain is sold through authorized dealers rather than online, so most replacement buying runs through Oregon-equivalent loops matched on pitch, gauge and drive links. Stihl's own designations — such as 61 PMM3 for the Picco Micro Mini 3 low-profile chain — are listed on each saw page next to the cross-references we could verify.

Stihl chain sizes →Husqvarna
Husqvarna publishes bar and chain combination tables in its operator manuals, listing bar length, pitch, gauge, chain type and drive-link count per model. Its chain codes — H30 and X-CUT SP33G for .325″, H80 and H81 for 3/8″, H37 and H38 for 3/8″ low profile — are the cross-reference keys on every Husqvarna page here.

Husqvarna chain sizes →Echo
Echo's operator manuals are unusually direct about chain: they name the factory-fitted Oregon chain type, and Echo sells matching loops under its own part numbers such as 72LPX70CQ. The 3/8″ full-size and 3/8″ low-profile families are easy to confuse across the CS-400 and CS-590.

Echo chain sizes →Poulan / McCulloch
Poulan saws are among the most common budget homeowner saws in US garages, and several appear by name in Oregon's fitment data for its 91-series low-profile chain. McCulloch saws of the same era were built on related platforms, but per-model McCulloch fitments are published here only when traced to a citable source.
